I’m setting out to become the first person to run a marathon in all 50 US states and all 8 Australian states and territories consecutively. This journey is about more than just running; it's about pushing boundaries and proving that with determination, anything is possible. And I want you to be part of it.

Why share this journey? Because it’s a testament to the idea that you don’t need to have everything figured out before you start. This whole challenge began when I interviewed James “Iron Cowboy” Lawrence. His 50-50-50 challenge was a huge inspiration, and I wondered if I could take on a similar challenge with my own twist.

The idea bounced around in my head for months, gaining momentum after I ran the Nashville marathon. It was a time when I was craving a substantial challenge. I mulled over it, discussed it with my wife and family, and while Amy was initially hesitant, her eventual support was all the push I needed.

The initial excitement of setting a monumental goal is intoxicating. You imagine the highs, the transformation, and the impact. But then come the practicalities. The goal isn’t just about running; it’s about planning every detail:

  • When will I run? Coordinating marathon dates and ensuring I’m physically prepared.
  • How will I travel? Navigating logistics to move between states and territories efficiently.
  • How will I raise funds? Securing sponsorships and creating fundraising strategies.
  • What will my training look like? Developing a rigorous training regime that fits with the schedule.
  • How will I recover and fuel myself? Planning for nutrition, rest, and injury prevention.

These challenges are significant and underscore why no one has attempted this before. It is something we all experience and I help men with in our Strong Men of Value Academy. The journey will test my limits and require a solid support crew and sponsors to make it possible. I’m looking for people who can contribute their expertise and resources to help make this a reality.

In Australia, suicide is a leading cause of death for men under 44, and I hope this journey can inspire others to rise above their struggles.

What Happened ✅:

  • 58 Prep: Ran 60km for the week while travelling
  • SMOV Academy: 14 men joined waitlist (15 spaces available)
  • Marriage: Need to have a date night. It has been hard to get some downtime while travelling.
